About Us

Successful Child Magazine was first published in New Jersey for parents of special needs children. The magazine was a vital tool and resource guide to help parents become effective advocates for their children and families.

Shortly after publication, the magazine and its founder, Bruce Schoengood, was highly recognized for excellence by many mental health organizations, public schools and healthcare and mental health professionals. Mr. Schoengood and Successful Child  was honored with the Golden Bell Media Award by Mental Health America in 2008.

Mr. Schoengood has spend 30 years in the publishing industry and is very active in the mental health arena. He currently maintains residence in both New Jersey and Florida.
